Jalandhar, February 5, 2015: Adding another feather to Cambridge International School for Girls’ cap, the Chacha Nehru Awardee, athlete Avneet Kaur ,has once again brought laurels to the school by becoming the best Athlete in the under 19 category in the CBSE Nationals held in Gujrat, bagging gold medal in long jump and silver medal in high jump. Our talented star has also won Bronze medal in high jump in PSEB Nationals held at Ranchi and has been selected for the National Games to be held in Kerela from 9th to 13th February 2015.
She has once again proved their mettle and emerged as a great source of pride. This win is another great marker for the success of the Sports Department, headed by Harpreet, and co-ordinated by A.F Sikand, without their backing, this crowning achievement would simply not have been possible.
Principal Deepa Dogra, Vice Principal Preeti Sharma, Director J.K Kohli, Co-ordinator A.S.Sikand and HOD Harpreet Kaur congratulated and applauded her incredulous efforts and encouraged her to strive harder for higher feats.
