1. Fiscal benefits are quite satisfactory. However, the national targets and state's ability to drive those targets is where the huge gap is.
2. For example, many state solar policies are quite aggressive about setting up the targets. But, in reality, neither the PPAs awarded under such state policies are honoured or the execution timelines from the developers. The changing goal-posts
3. On the wind project development, states like MP, Maharashtra etc., the lack of clarity in tariff is slowing down the pace of project development.
4. With the positive spin on the investment environment, plenty of money is lined up for this sector. The places for right deployment are missing links. A well coordinated effort in central and state policies can only fast-track the growth.
