BTech student Kartik from Gurgaon dies at Bhagsu Falls in Dharamsala

Dharamsala, October 12, 2013: Kartik, a 23 years old BTech student of Gurgaon was drowned to death in waterfall near Mecleodganj in Dharamsala on Saturday morning.
Kartik had reached Dharamsala last night with his two friends from Gurgaon and stayed in a Hotel at Mecleodganj.
ASP Mohit Chawla said that the three went to Bhagsu Falls in the morning and while swimming there Kartik went inside deep area and was drowned.
Kartik’s body was later recovered by police.
Bhagsu Falls is a beautiful waterfall. It is located in the small village of Bhagsu, on rear side of the Bhagsunath Temple.
According to available information, Bhagsu Falls turns into a 30 feet cascade, alongside a mountain that features slate graffiti during monsoon. This spot is known for picnics. A large number of tourists from India and abroad visit this particular spot to see beauty of nature. Majority of the youths are seen visiting this spot for entertainment and arriving near to the nature. This particular tourist spot is around 11 km from Dharamsala. www.cityairnews.com
