Chandigarh, July 26, 2016: British Paints, established 1919, and one of the leading paint brands inaugurated its fourth state-of-the-art factory inHindupur, Andhra Pradesh.Strategically located, it will help to cater to supplies to the Southern markets&going further to the Western market as well.
This British Paints factory located at Gollapuram Industrial Park in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh is an integrated unit for supply of water based, solvent based and dry paints, both for the decorative and industrial segments. It occupies an 11 acre area, and has been designed to allow phasewise expansion over the years.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ranjit Singh , President said, “Hitherto we have been North centering in terms of manufacturing units, and this obviously lead to extended lead times for servicing our customers. It also hampered growth in the Southern markets, since timely supply is of paramount importance in our industry. With the Hindupur unit, we will now work on expanding our foot-print in South, by adding new branches as also dealers. The industrial segment will also receive focused attention from our side. We are planning major promotional activities in the months ahead to announce our serious commitments to Southern India.
“We are thankful to the Andhra Pradesh government for having given us a host of benefits, which will encourage us to invest more in the State over the years”, he added.
