Box office collections of Mardaani increase by almost 100% in the first weekend

The Rani Mukerji starrer, Mardaani not only opened to a fantastic reaction from audiences and industry, but also collected a good number of 3.46 crores on day one.
Day two saw an upward move in the collections and accounted for 4.79 crores
The extremely positive and rising word of mouth led to a huge jump in the collections on Sunday (Day 3). It saw almost 100% growth in the numbers as compared to day one. 6.21 crores which is almost double of day one collections.
With this, the first weekend collections of Mardaani show a solid total of 14.46 crores which is incredible. It marks the highest box office collections in comparison to any other film of this category in this year. Mardaani's first weekend is way ahead of the first weekend nos of Queen (10 crores) and Bobby Jasoos (7 crores).
The film has got the focus on the worst social evil of human trafficking which needs to be eliminated.
