BIR BHADSON WILDLIFE SANCTUARY PATIALA: Advisory Committee Constituted

Chandigarh, September 30, 2015: The Punjab government has constituted an Advisory Committee for Bir Bhadson Wild life Sanctuary Patiala to insure its proper upkeep. The newly constituted committee would render advice on steps to be taken to improve the conservation and management of the sanctuary including participation of the persons living within and around the sanctuary.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the government said that the Conservator of Forest Parks and Protected area Circle Punjab would be the Chairman of the committee. The other members would be Mr. Sadhu Singh, MLA Nabha, Mrs.Harvinder Kaur, Mr.Pardaman Singh and Mr. Krishana Kaur all sarpanches respectively Sudhewal, Punjwal and Ramgarh of village gram panchayat. Two members from Home and Veterinary departments; Mr. Amrinder Singh and Mr. Anand Goyal. Two representatives of Non Government Organization; Harbans Singh and Mr. Vikramjeet Singh, three individuals active in the field of wild life conservation; Mr. Didar Singh, Amrik Singh, Mr. Jagtar Singh. Mr. Abjinder Singh, Mr. Jeevan Dutt Shelly. Divisional Forest Officer Patiala would be the Member Secretary, added the Spokesman.
He said that the committee would meet at least once in three months and would submit its report to the Chief Wildlife Warden Punjab for further action.
