Chandigarh, September 11, 2015: Punjab Chief Minister Mr.Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of eminent Sikh scholar and Psychiatrist Dr.Jaswant Singh Neki who passed away at Delhi.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the enormous contribution of Dr. Neki in the Medical field as a Director of PGI, Chandigarh and Head of the Psychiatry Department at AIIMS, Delhi besides in the promotion of Punjabi language and literature. He said that Dr. Neki was a true Sikh who practised and propagated the tenets of Sikhism through several books penned by him.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, Mr. Badal prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to them to bear this huge loss in this hour of grief.
