AAP Ludhiana along with activists of the party`s ‘Punjab Against Drugs’ wing hold a protest outside the office of DIG Ludhiana Range.
Ludhiana, April 21, 2015: AAP Ludhiana along with activists of the party`s ‘Punjab Against Drugs’ wing held a protest outside the office of DIG Ludhiana Range. Demanding that who allegedly attacked anti drugs campaigner Jaswinder Singh Khalsa in Kaunke Khose village in Jagraon be arrested immediately and that relevant sections of IPC be added to the FIR such as kidnapping.
AAP District Convenor Ahbaab Singh Grewal said that the even five days after the incident the police has not made any headway in the case and that even sec 325-B of IPC was added after intense pressure by the party. “We demand that all the attackers be arrested immediately and that sections of kidnapping also be added to the FIR”, he urged.
He also demanded that the police officials responsible for this travesty of justice be suspended and a thorough and impartial inquiry be done into the matter. “If our demands are not met we will launch a 24*7 protest against this injustice”, he warned.
Himanshu Pathak the state head of ‘Punjab Against Drugs’ also participated in this protest.
