Khanna, April 7, 2015: Now police verification for passports and other purposes will be high tech as new verification teams constituted in this regard will be equipped with high tech equipments. These verification teams will be comprised of only women teams also that will cover nearby areas.
SSP Khanna Gurpreet Singh Gill gave information said that these teams will be carrying mobile cameras, tiffins and other needed items including motorcycles and Activa for going to described destinations. SSP said that there will be 9 verification teams comprising of two members each and three teams will be all women teams. He said two women teams will be working in Khanna area while one women team will be stationed at Samrala.
SSP further said that these teams will inform concerned persons on SMS before going to his house about seven days ago and will told them that they will be visiting their houses in next four days. He said that before leaving for homes the teams will again give a message that they are reaching tomorrow and will say to arrange two respectable persons during their visit. In the way the team members will inform the concerned that they will receive Rs 100 as charge from the concerned person. Later the team will reach in the house of concerned and will get information and will click a photo of the concerned with two persons of the village said SSP. He said that after this the team members will compile this information with CPRC and also inform concerned person about completing this process.
SSP added that now there will be no corruption and the team members will charge 100 per person and will give a slip to the concerned person and all this process will be transparent on the direction of state government. He said these team members will bear uniform and the girls’ teams will conduct verifications in nearby areas including cities and men teams will cover all areas. He said that the motorcycles and Activa have been purchased from Suvidha Center Society funds.
SSP said that these verification teams will be very beneficial for the people as they will have no need to come to police stations for this purpose and the police teams will go to houses for this purpose.
