Approval to proposal to provide government jobs to married daughter of Martyr Ramesh Kumar and dependent of Martyr Pardeep Singh Chauhan

Chandigarh, February 4, 2016: Haryana Government on Thursday approved the proposal to provide government jobs to a married daughter of Martyr Ramesh Kumar, resident of Silani Gate, Jhajjar and a dependent of Martyr Pardeep Singh Chauhan, Constable in Army. They have been provided jobs on compassionate grounds by relaxing the norms of the policy.
          A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the State Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.
          Martyr Ramesh Kumar had died in Operation Meghdoot on March 4,1989. His widow Smt. Roshni Devi had requested the government to appoint her daughter Mrs Sunil Rani who is married. Her qualification is B.A. and is eligible for the post of Clerk. The policy of the government is for dependent son or daughter or wife who is not earning. Although the case of Mrs Sunil Rani who is married daughter of Martyr is not covered under the government policy of May 30,2014, the government relaxed the norms for giving employment as an exceptional case. The widow of the Martyr being 54 years old and her son being working in Kumaon Regiment, she had requested that employment be given to her daughter.
          The Army Constable Pardeep Singh Chauhan, resident of village Rattanthal, district Rewari was killed on February 23,2002. The mother of the Martyr had requested the government to give employment to her another son, Mr Dal Singh, on compassionate grounds and had furnished an affidavit to provide government service to him as he is living with her. Mr Dal Singh submitted an affidavit to look-after the deceased family. He being matric pass is eligible for Group D post. As per the policy, only dependent son or daughter or wife who is not earning is eligible for appointment. Though the case to provide job to the brother of the Martyr Pardeep Singh is not covered under the government policy of May 30,2014, the government relaxed the norms as an exceptional case to give employment to the brother of the Martyr./ (SK Vyas, jalandhar)
