Dharamshala, July 31, 2018: BJP Member of Parliament from Hamirpur, Anurag Thakur has demanded special funds from the Centre to HP government to tackle the menace of stray animals and monkeys in Himachal Pradesh. In the matter of urgent public importance in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Thakur said that the majority of farmers in Himachal Pradesh have avoided their crop sowing due to the menace of these animals and monkeys. He said, “Large area of these fields are being abundant as these animals and monkeys are destroying the crops.” He said, “The state government is getting funds to meet this menace from the popular temples of the state, but these funds are very small for this work.
