A view of Annual Conference of IAPM being held at DMCH, Ludhiana on Sunday.
Ludhiana, October 5, 2014: Department of Pathology organised the Annual Conference of the North-West Chapter of IAPM-2014 today in Dumra Auditorium, DMCH, Ludhiana. The session began with symposium on ‘Uterine mesechymal lesions’ followed by formal inaugural ceremony. The speakers in the symposium were Dr Kanupriya Jain, Dr P Sandhu, Dr Neena Sood and Dr Radhika S.
Secretary of DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta formally inaugurated the conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Also preesent on the occasion were Vice Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, President NW Chapter IAPM Dr RK Vasishta, Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Member of Punjab Medical Council Dr Kulwant Singh.
In her address to the audience, Organizing Chairperson- Dr Neena Sood (Professor & Head of Pathology) extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and participating delegates. In her address, Dr Sood said that the field of pathology is being reshaped by latest advancements and the scientific sessions during the conference will update delegates about recent developments in the field of pathology.
The session held thereafter include ‘IHC in daignosis of unknown primary malignancy’, ‘Application of flow cytometety in clinical practice’ and ‘Diagnostic dilemmas in bone lesions’ Many interesting and rare cases were presented and discussed by the representatives of various medical colleges.
The conference got concluded with an impressive valedictory function, during which, Dr Harpreet Puri proposed a vote of thanks to the participating delagates to make this conference a grand success.
