Bhopal, March 24, 2015: India’s leading ICT-based education, training and services network, AISECT has been awarded in the ‘Maximum Social Impact’ category ofPC Quest Best IT Implementation Awards for the Year 2014. C.N. Ram (Co-Founder and Executive Director, RuralShores Business Services Pvt Ltd&a Member of the IT Advisory Committee at Reserve Bank of India) and V.S. Parthasarthy  (Chief Financial Officer, Group Chief Information Officer, Executive Vice President of Group M&A and Member of Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd) were the chief guests for the award ceremony that was held recently in Kochi. V.S. Parthasarthy presented the award to Pranav Khanna (Manager-Business Services), AISECT.

PC Quest Best IT Implementation Award is the Indian IT industry's only award that recognizes achievements in IT by organizations of all sizes and types. These awards are decided via a four stage process, starting with a public nomination, followed by detailed auditing, and finally declaration of winners by a panel of jury members that comprise of eminent personalities from the Indian IT industry.

On winning the prestigious award, AISECT’s Director Siddharth Chaturvedi said, “AISECT has significantly helped foster technology and skills driven growth in semi-urban and rural India, and it feels great to be appreciated for our efforts. This dedicated focus on ICT and skill development using IT as the dissemination medium will help bridge the gap between facilities and services available to the urban and the rural population of India.”

Ever since its origin in 1985, the AISECT has trained over 16 lakh people at the district, block and panchayat levels.  The organisation has used IT as a tool to reach out to the remotest corners of India and facilitate the empowerment of semi-urban and rural population. AISECT has also partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) with the objective of imparting skills-based training to over 13 lakh people within 10 years. It has pioneered the ‘Multipurpose IT Centre’ Model which is a self-sustainable, demand-led & flexible model to address the multifaceted education & ICT services requirements of rural India. In order to help the rural workforce with better educational and employment opportunities, AISECT has also introduced portals such as aisectonline.com and rojgarmantra.com. AISECT Online empowers students with anywhere, anytime access to education, thereby fostering a collaborative and interactive approach to learning, whereas Rojgar Mantra focuses on fulfilling the entry level job requirements of private and public sector enterprises at the small town, district and block levels. Moreover, it also offers low cost, high quality digital multimedia content solution for K-12 students with its Eduvantage PRO programme. Further, the Group also executes ICT-based skill development, capacity building and e-governance projects of the Central & State Governments.

AISECT’s boisterous efforts, innovations and endeavors have resulted in the organisation being recognized and awarded at various international and national platforms including the Schwab Foundation’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award instituted by the World Economic Forum, the Ashoka Senior Fellowship, the Skoch Renaissance Award, the NASSCOM I.T.
