Airtel’s #PassTheTorch campaign clocks 25000+ Kms within 14 days of launch
9000 citizens from across the country contributed for the empowerment of underprivileged children Bharti Airtel on Sunday said that its innovative digital torch travelled 25000+ km across the country within a span of 14 days. The digital torch was launched as part of the #PassTheTorch campaign earlier this month to mark the 11th edition of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM) that was held on October 21. Over 7000 people from across the country participated in the campaign and dedicated their run towards the empowerment of underprivileged children. Celebrating the spirit of running, #PassTheTorch encouraged people across India to make their run count, wherever they may be and contribute towards the empowerment of underprivileged children in rural India. Designed around the core philosophy of ADHM, the campaign brought thousands of people together for a cause. Breaking barriers, #PassTheTorch took the spirit of ADHM to every corner of the country through the digital flame, providing a platform to citizens to make a positive impact on the society. As part of the campaign, runners passed the digital flame. Corresponding to the number of kilometers accumulated by the runners, Airtel will now empower underprivileged children in rural areas through digital literacy, which will include teaching them use of computers and internet.
