AADHAR number field session 2013-14 compulsory

Chandigarh, July 7, 2013: In a significant decision, Punjab Government has transferred two schemes related to Scholarship Management System of minority students (Sikh, Muslim, Chrishtian, Bodhi and Parsi) from manual to online.

Disclosing this here today, the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike said that scholarship amount of 2013-14 session under Post Matric Scholarship Scheme and Marriage-cum-Means basis scholarship scheme would be transferred only to account numbers which are attached to Aadhar Card Numbers.

The Minister appealed to all eligible students that they should make their Aadhar Card on preference and write their Aadhar Number with their account numbers. He also appealed to the Head of the Educational institutions and Schools to extend every possible help to the students.
