Jalandhar, January 9, 2015: On the fourth day of INSPIRE Internship Camp 2015 being organised in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar the participant students visited Science City, Kapurthala.
Camp Coordinator Harpreet Singh told that the students visited Digital Planetarium and Climate Theatre at Science City. They also watched 3D show and laser show there. During this visit, the students were escorted by Harpreet Singh, Jyoti Kaul, Sameeksha and Manisha. In the afternoon session, Prof.Arvind, Dean Research & Development, Dean Students and Head Computer Centre at IISER, Mohali was the resource person.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. He deliberated on the topic ‘A Glimpse into the Quantum World’. Prof. Arvind is a theoretical physicist with research interest focusing on quantum computing, quantum optics and foundations of quantum mechanics. In the evening session, the students performed practicals in Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Biotech & Bioinformatics Labs under the guidance of college teachers.
