48th annual athletic meet at PAU on February 19-20

Ludhiana, February 18, 2014: The Directorate of Students’ Welfare of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will be organising a two-day 48th Annual Athletic Meet on February 19 and 20.
Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU will inaugurate the meet on February 20 at 10 am at PAU Athletic Track. Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, will preside over the concluding function of the meet at 4.00 p.m. and give away prizes to the winners.
Giving details, Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, said that athletes from constituent colleges of PAU including Institute of Agriculture, Gurdaspur will participate in as many as 28 athletic events during the meet. She informed that some of the events will be held on February 19 in the afternoon.
