Ludhiana, November 29, 2015: 1060th free artificial limbs distribution camp was by Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab held today at Viklang Shayata Kendre, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. In which Artificial limbs, Calipers, Try Cycle & Hearing aids were given to 31 physically handicapped persons.
Sh. Narinder Mittal, Secretary Trust told that said since 1996 Trust has organized 1059 camps in which artificial limbs, Calipers, Crutches, Tricycle & Hearing aids have been provided to more than 44922 physically handicapped persons. Since 2007 the Trust has also organized Polio Surgery Camps, in which 2193 polio operations have been done successfully.
Sh. Narinder Mittal further told that to make Punjab “viklangta free”, Camps with the help of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India will be held in 8 Districts of Punjab. In these camp Artificial Lower Limbs, Upper Limbs, Calipers, Crutches, Tricycle, Wheel Chair & Hearing Aids will be provided free of cost. Polio operations will be done free.
Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Dr. Ravish Bhardwaj, Dr. Sahil Kochher, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Sh. R.P Gupta, Smt. Tripta Mehta, S. Upkar Singh Bhalla, Ms. Narinder Kaur, Sh. Arvind kumar, Sh. Kuldeep Kumar and Other Staff Members of Bharat Vikas Parishad were present on this occasion.
