Jalandhar, June 24, 2017: Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra, President, Principals’ Association Non Government Affiliated Colleges has welcomed the decision taken by the Government of Punjab to appoint professional experts as the Board of Governor chairpersons in the technical universities of the region. This announcement made during the recently presented Budget session has been lauded on the basis that it would pave the way for educational experts having deep knowledge of the field to control the proceedings instead of the officials from other fields.
Dr.Samra also stressed the fact that such educational experts with their immense experience can duly resolve various issues concerning teaching and non-teaching staff members of these institutions.
Dr.Samra also expressed the need to appoint similar stature figures for Guru Nanak Dev University and Punjabi University so that the research and teaching works gain much needed acceleration.
