Yuva Samvad – Bharat@2047 on India’s PanchPran- A youth Dialouge and Athletic Meet

Chandigarh, February 29, 2024: NSS, Panjab University ,Chandigarh under the ageis of Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, Government of India organised Yuva Samvad – Bharat@2047 on India’s PanchPran- A youth Dialouge and Athletic Meet  on Thursday. The event was organised by Dr.Parveen Goyal, Programme Coordinator, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the guidance of honourable  Vice Chancellor  Prof.Renu Vig.

The event began at the Sports Ground, PU. The Chief Guest for the event was Er. Pankaj Nain, IPS, OSD CMO & DIG Anti-Corruption Bureau, Haryana. He addressed the youth and motivated them. He stressed upon the point that there is no shortcut for hard work. He also added that youth should aim high and strive hard to achieve their goals. The Guest of Honour was Devesh Moudgil, Former Mayor, Chandigarh, U.T. His speech was inspiring. Prof. Amit Chauhan, DSW, PU Congratulated the whole unit for organizing such an event. The Athletic Meet was organised with the support of Dolly, Director Campus sports.

The hostel wardens ,Programme Officers, Faculty members and NSS volunteers were present at the event. The Dignitaries well participated in the sports event during the Athletic Meet and later graced the function with a plantation drive.

The Programme continued at SSBUICET Auditorium. Overall 30 students participated in the Yuva Samvad competition. The students well presented their thoughts on Panch Pran. The judges appreciated the participation of the students.The event came to an end with the consolation prizes and prize distribution to the three winners. The participants  full of enthusiasm. The Vote of Thanks for the event  was given By Dr. Sonia Sharma,  Programme Officer, NSS,PU.
