World Customer Rights Day celebrated at Guru Hargobind Khalsa College Gurusar Sudhar

Ludhiana, March 15, 2024: The Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Management, Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar, celebrated World Customer Rights Day with fervor and enthusiasm. The event aimed to raise awareness about consumer rights and highlight the importance of ethical business practices.
Addressing the students, Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh shared insightful personal experiences and emphasized the significance of preventing the exploitation of customers. He underscored the need to prioritize consumer protection over mere profit-making, urging students to combat any form of customer exploitation.
Dr. Anubhuti Modgill, Head of the Department, welcomed participants and outlined the event's agenda. The day featured engaging activities including chart and PowerPoint presentation competitions, judged by esteemed faculty members Prof. SK Gupta, Prof. Jasbinder Kaur, Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Dr. Paramjit Kaur and Prof. Tarsem Singh.
In the chart-making competition, Geetika secured first place, followed by Arshdeep Kaur and Kirandeep Kaur in second place, and Balraj Singh and Anmol in third place. Amanpreet Kaur received a consolation prize. Meanwhile, in the PowerPoint presentation contest, Harmandeep Kaur and Lovepreet Kaur clinched the top spot, with Rajveer Singh and Shruti Kumari securing second and third place, respectively. Gurleen Kaur was awarded a consolation prize. As a culmination of the event, departmental students organized a rally in Sudhar town to raise awareness among consumers about their rights.
Pamphlets were distributed, reinforcing the message of consumer empowerment.
On this occasion, Prof. Aarti Sharma, Prof. Shubra Gupta, Lt. Preeti Saini, Prof. Taizinder Singh, Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur, and several others were present.
