Webinar on theme “Road Map of Artificial Intelligence in Education”  

Chandigarh, February 6, 2024: The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies organized a webinar on the theme “Road Map of Artificial Intelligence in Education” on Tuesday under the patronage of our Vice-Chancellor Prof.(Dr) Renu Vig,and Chaired by Dr.Md Saifur Rahman, Chairperson of the department. 

Resource Person, Dr.Umang Garg, Associate Professor, from Amity University, Gawalior, Madhya Pradesh started the lecture with the definition of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and explained the growth of AI from 1950 to 2021. Speaker introduced 3 types of intelligence:  machine learning, machine intelligence, machine consciousness and specialty of super intelligence with real life examples. He also explained the concept of Artificial Intelligence software and tools likewise; Teachmint, quill Bot,chatGPT, text to speech, Grammarly, Class Dojo and its usage in teaching to children with special needs in inclusive school. Artificial Intelligence can be used to conduct the research study in the area of special education and special needs children could be benefited at the deepest level, said Dr.Umang Garg.At the end, Nitin Raj (faculty member) presented vote of thanks.
