The interaction offered a candid overview of the varsity’s recent academic developments and upcoming initiatives, with Dr. Arya outlining a clear roadmap for DLC SUPVA’s future.

In his remarks, Dr. Arya laid special emphasis on clearing pending academic and creative projects of Film & TV students from previous batches. Recognizing the urgency of completing these projects, he announced that several key approvals have already been issued for equipment procurement, logistical support, and hiring of necessary personnel. “Students must be empowered to complete what they started. Their work is their portfolio, and we are ensuring they have the means and support to finish it well,” he said.

Highlighting the university’s evolving approach to teaching and learning, Dr. Arya also spoke of his intent to engage domain experts and industry professionals across all faculties - including Design, Architecture, Visual Arts, and Film & TV - to enhance student training and bring real-world exposure into academic settings.

Addressing the media, Dr. Arya stated, “The creative economy is the future of India’s innovation landscape. Our aim is to make DLC SUPVA not just a centre for academic excellence but a launchpad for entrepreneurial talent in design, media, visual storytelling, and built environments. We want our graduates to become creators, leaders, and job-givers rather than job seekers, as envisioned by the PM Narendra Modi.”

Dr. Arya highlighted DLC SUPVA’s highly qualified faculty members drawn from prestigious institutions and from different parts of the country to teach students. He also spoke about the university’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent across diverse disciplines such as Design, Film & TV, Architecture, and Visual Arts, and strengthening its academic ecosystem through academic and industry collaborations.
