MDU Academic Council Clears 80 Proposals, Approves PhD Registration of 147 Scholars

Rohtak, October 30, 2026: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, approved 80 academic proposals, including the PhD registration of 147 research scholars, at its 207th Academic Council meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia.
The council approved Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Avitri Intelligence Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, and Acumes Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Delhi, keeping in view the academic interests of faculty members and students.
It also cleared the Summer Internship Regulations aimed at providing students with practical exposure and enhancing their skill sets.
The council further approved the Internal Quality Assurance Report (IQAR) of the Directorate of Distance Education for the academic session 2025-26, along with examination schemes and syllabi of various courses.
Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal presented the agenda at the meeting, which was attended by Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Randeep Rana and other members of the Academic Council.
