Vasant Panchami Celebration – A Festival of Learning and Spring

DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur celebrated Vasant Panchami with great enthusiasm, devotion and cultural splendour. The school campus was beautifully decorated in bright shades of yellow, symbolising the arrival of spring. Jalandhar, January 24, 2026: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur celebrated Vasant Panchami with great enthusiasm, devotion and cultural splendour. The school campus was beautifully decorated in bright shades of yellow, symbolising the arrival of spring. Colourful flowers and creative displays enhanced the festive ambience and filled the school with joy and positivity.

The celebration began with the auspicious worship of Goddess Saraswati, seeking divine blessings for wisdom, knowledge and creativity. This sacred ritual created a serene and spiritual atmosphere, filling the school with devotion and reverence.

This was followed by a graceful Saraswati Vandana dance presented by the talented young performers, which captivated the audience with its devotion, rhythm and elegance.

The highlight of the event was the Ramp Walk by the tiny tots from Nursery to UKG. Dressed in vibrant yellow attire, the little participants walked confidently on the stage and won everyone’s hearts with their charm and confidence. On this occasion, the titles of “Master Basant” and “Basant Queen” were conferred upon the following students:

Students of Grades I to V presented graceful and energetic dance performances, reflecting the joy and vibrancy of the spring season.

Adding a literary touch to the celebration, Payal recited a beautiful poem on Vasant, which beautifully expressed the charm of the season.

The students of Class V participated in a kite flying activity with great enthusiasm, filling the surroundings with energy, excitement and the festive spirit of the day.

In his concluding address, Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir warmly wished everyone on the occasion of Vasant Panchami and encouraged students to pursue knowledge with dedication and sincerity.
