Vajra Corps Conducts Seminar At Lovely Professional University

Jalandhar, March 16, 2016: Vajra Corps is conducting a two day seminar on 16th and 17th March in the campus of LPU. The seminar provided an insight into the various avenues available for joining the Army through the numerous entry schemes and an equipment display showcasing the technological and military might of the Indian Army in the form of demonstrations besides talks and informal interactions by various specialists.
On 16 March, the program was initiated with an opening address by the Chancellor, Shri Ashok Mittal. Addressing the mammoth gathering of over 1500 students and faculty. Lt Gen JS Cheema, General Officer Commanding Vajra Corps called upon the students to choose the Army as a profession for nation building and outlined the various personal and professional growth avenues that were available in the forces for the intellectual Diaspora of the university.
The first day program include colourful renditions by Pipe Bands and a performance by a Jazz Band much to the delight of the students. ‘Know Your Army’ stalls were also set up to showcase and demonstrate various military equipment and its functioning. The Army also made available a set of Service Selection Board Psychologists and Group Task Officers (GTO) to give and insight into the selection process. The static and dynamic display will also be conducted on 17 March in order to maximum students can benefit from the seminar.
