University Business School student bags second position in national level essay writing competition

Chandigarh: Ms. Swatika student of UBS, M.Com. Honours 2nd Year has bagged Second Position in Second National Level Essay Writing Competition organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra in August 2019. She has won a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-.
She had expressed views on “Social Media Sites: Advantages and Disadvantages”. Highlighting how Social Media has radically changed the outlook of all aspects of society communication; she necessitated on the need to focus on security issues of virtual life. Another student Ms. Shilpa Kashyap of M.Com. Honours 2nd Year has bagged consolation prize for sharing her opinion on Jobs versus Start-ups: Options and Opportunities.
Winners have offered ardent gratitude towards Chairperson UBS Prof. Deepak Kapur. They thanked Assistant Professor Dr. Neha Gulati, UBS, PU who mentored them and gave them steady guidance to improvise ethical academic writing skills. According to Dr. Neha Gulati, “A blind review process and rigorous plagiarism check was administered for the competition. Both the essays had zero plagiarism. Students were trained to follow academic honor code while content writing and practice academic integrity”.
