Ferozepur, August 9, 2018: Under 'Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna' the Punjab government and private hospitals have provided free treatment facilities for Rs. 2.19 crore to 3922 needy beneficiaries in Moga district.

While giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Mr.Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal said that the state government has linked blue card holders, farmers, traders and workers to 'Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna' and this plan is proving to be a boon for approximately 10094 beneficiaries of the district. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr.Surinder Kumar were also present.

The Deputy Commissioner said that in the 06 government hospitals of Ferozepur District, the card holders can get treatment including civil hospital Ferozepur, Zira, Makhu, Mamdot, Ferozshah, Guruharsahai. He said that similarly 5 private hospitals of the district include Asija Eye Hospital Ferozepur, Kalia Eye Hospital Ferozepur, A-One Nagi hospital mudki, Bath eye hospital zira, Aastha hospital Guruharsahai. He said that government hospitals listed under 'Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna' implemented from November 2015, have provided cashless treatment facilities to 1300 patients in government hospitals and 2622 patients in private hospitals. He said that this scheme was proved to be a boon for those poor and backward classes who could not get their treatment in private hospitals due to financial difficulties.

On this occasion, the civil surgeon Dr. Sunil kumar said that beneficiaries of 'Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna' can get their free treatment besides the listed hospitals of the district, from the hospitals other districts of the state included in the scheme. He informed that those government and private hospitals have been listed by the state government, the beneficiaries can get free (cashless) treatment up to Rs. 50,000 annually from these hospitals. He said that the beneficiaries can also contact Health Department's toll free number 104 for any information or complaint.
