UIAMS Observes Anti-Ragging Week with Poster & Slogan Making Competitions
The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, is observing Anti-Ragging Week in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the circular received from the Dean of University Instruction (DUI), Panjab University.

Chandigarh, August 14, 2025: The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, is observing Anti-Ragging Week in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the circular received from the Dean of University Instruction (DUI), Panjab University.
As part of the observance, Poster and Slogan Making Competitions were organized today, which received enthusiastic participation from students. As many as 34 entries were received for the poster competition. The entries are currently on display as an exhibition in the main entry corridor, open for viewing throughout the week, up to August 18, 2025.
The slogan entries, highlighting the importance of a ragging-free campus, have also been displayed across key areas of the department to amplify awareness.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Prof. Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Director, UIAMS, who commended the students for their enthusiastic participation and appreciated their pivotal role in promoting the message of a ragging-free campus through their creative and impactful contributions.
The week-long activities have been thoughtfully curated by the UIAMS Placement Cell, under the proactive coordination of Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Training and Placement Officer (TPO). The initiatives encompass a range of impactful engagements, including sensitization drives, interactive discussions, and student-focused sessions aimed at highlighting the serious consequences of ragging and raising awareness about the support systems and grievance redressal mechanisms available to students.
