UIAMS Felicitates Elected Student Representatives

Chandigarh, September 9, 2026: University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, organised a felicitation ceremony to honour its newly elected student representatives for the session 2026–27. The ceremony felicitated Vishal Bamal, Joint Secretary, Panjab University Campus Students’ Council (PUCSC), and Departmental Representatives Arpit Sharma, Sarvesh Kumar, Chetwant Singh and Jaskaranpreet Singh Saini.
Prof. Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Director, UIAMS, congratulated the elected representatives and highlighted the importance of responsible student leadership, constructive participation and effective communication between students and the administration. She emphasised that the elections reflected the trust and confidence placed by students in their representatives and encouraged them to work with sincerity, integrity and a spirit of service.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Training-cum-Placement Officer, UIAMS.
Vishal Bamal, Joint Secretary, PUCSC, expressed his gratitude to the students, faculty and administration of UIAMS for their support and confidence. He said that his election was not merely a position but a responsibility, and assured that he would strive to represent student concerns effectively and work towards constructive initiatives for the wider student community.
Arpit Sharma, Departmental Representative, thanked his fellow students for placing their trust in him and stated that he would work towards maintaining effective communication between students and the administration. He emphasised the importance of collective participation and cooperation in addressing student concerns.
Sarvesh Kumar, Departmental Representative, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve his fellow students. He said that he would make sincere efforts to understand students' concerns and contribute positively to the academic and campus environment.
Chetwant Singh, Departmental Representative, thanked the students for their confidence and said that he looked forward to working collectively with the other representatives. He stressed the importance of teamwork, transparency and constructive dialogue in bringing about positive changes.
Jaskaranpreet Singh Saini, Departmental Representative, expressed his appreciation to the students and faculty for their encouragement. He stated that he would endeavour to remain accessible to students and work responsibly towards addressing their genuine concerns and contributing to the overall development of UIAMS.
