Jalandhar, April 5, 2026: The Suchji Mahila Samman Awards program was held today at Shubhankar Sabhagar Auditorium of B.D. Arya College, Jalandhar Cantt. The event was organized under the guidance of Management Committee President Karan Agarwal and Treasurer Khushboo Agarwal, in collaboration with Ajoono. 
The programme aimed to recognize and honour women from various fields including medicine, law, leadership, arts, and social service, who have made significant Mahila Samman Awards held at B.D. Arya College, Jalandhar Cantt, April 4th 2026. The Suchji Mahila Samman Awards program was held today at Shubhankar Sabhagar Auditorium of B.D. Arya College, Jalandhar Cantt. The event was organized under the guidance of Management Committee contributions toward empowering women and transforming societal thinking regarding women’s rights.
Prominent awardees included Bilkish Bajaj, Ray Gorang, Seema Agarwal, Dr. Veena Gumber, Advocate Ravinder Reet, and Advocate Priyanka Sharma. The legal experts also shared valuable insights and detailed information on women’s rights, spreading awareness among attendees.
Cabinet Minister, Punjab, Mahinder Bhagat graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished dignitaries included Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Shweta Dhir, Sonia Bali, Nidhi Sharma, Surinder Singh Sodi, Rajvarinder Kaur Sodi, and the first student of the college, Savitri Devi was present.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Officiating Principal Mini Verma, followed by a traditional Ganesh Vandana. The stage proceedings were conducted efficiently by Manrajdeep Chatha and Dr. Meenu Nanda.
Cultural performances added vibrancy to the event. A student from Surbhi College delivered an inspiring speech and poetry on women empowerment, while Tai Jagiro’s songs captivated the audience. Sukhbir Chatha presented the program in an impressive manner. Shweta Dhir also shared her views on women’s respect through Sanskrit shlokas.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Additional Director Prem Sagar, who expressed gratitude to all guests, participants, and organizers for their valuable contribution in making the event successful.
