Tanda Medico brings honor to Himachal
Dharamshala , February 11, 2019: Dr Tarun Kumar, a third year post graduate student in the department of Orthopedics at Dr Rajinder Prashad Government Medical College, Tanda , near here ,has brought laurels to the institute and the state of Himachal Pradesh by bagging the first prize in Free paper presentation in the 38th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopaedic, held in Jammu, India from 8th February to 10th February 2019.
“The conference was focused around the theme ‘Solution to controversies,’” stated Dr. Bhanu Awasthi, Principal. Dr. RP Government Medical College, Tanda. Dr. Awasthi while congratulating Dr. Tarun Kumar and the Department of the Orthopaedics stated that it is a matter of pride for Dr R P Government Medical College to have achieved such distinction
Dr. Tarun Kumar had presented his paper on ‘Morphometric analysis of Sacral Vestibule using Computed tomography”. The study first of its kind study from Indian sub-continent will has the potential to change the dynamics of surgical interventions in the discipline of Orthopedics. For its novelty, the study was adjudged the best amongst more than 50 other studies presented by participants from all over the North India.
Dr. Awasthi further added, “ students from Dr R P Government Medical College, Tanda have been doing well at national and international platforms in recent past and such efforts by the students will only motivate others in delivering their best.”
