Tainted Characters Unacceptable; Sukhbir Badal or Majithia Should Contest from Khadoor Sahib Themselves, We Will Ensure a Resounding Victory - Brahmpura
Senior leader Ravinder Singh Brahmpura engaging in deep discussions with SAD workers on the critical issue of sidelining 'tainted elements' from the party.

Providing political shelter to individuals accused in drug cases on the land blessed by 8 Gurus is a blatant violation of Panthic traditions.

Tarn Taran, April 25, 2026: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has historically been a party of martyrs, dedicated to Punjab's development and the fierce protection of Panthic traditions, with its hardworking workers serving as its true backbone. To safeguard the party's glorious history from tainted elements and to make the region completely drug-free, a crucial village-level meeting of local workers was held today at Sri Khadoor Sahib. The meeting was specially attended by SAD Vice President and former MLA, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura.
Sharing his profound and strategic views with the media and workers, Brahmpura sent a deeply respectful yet firm message to the party high command regarding the appointment of the Halqa Incharge (constituency in-charge). "Party President Sukhbir Singh Badal is the head of our mother party. We hold no resentment over being overlooked or not being assigned a post, as true Taksalis are never dependent on chairs. We are ready to lay carpets as ordinary workers for the party. However, when 'tainted elements' facing serious drug allegations are given political shelter and appointed as Halqa Incharge on the holy land of 8 Gurus, our core principles do not allow us to remain silent. The leadership of such tainted characters will never be accepted by the proud people of this region," he stated.
Extending an open and strategic offer to the Party President, Brahmpura added, "If the party leadership feels there is no capable candidate here, Sukhbir Singh Badal should come and contest from here himself, or field Bikram Singh Majithia as the candidate. We, the Taksali workers, will toil day and night to secure the Khadoor Sahib seat with a massive margin and place the victory in the party's lap. But to protect the party's reputation and save the sons of Punjab, it is imperative to sideline tainted elements. Drugs have already left the wombs of countless mothers desolate, and we will not allow the remaining youth of our area to be ruined."
Addressing the highly sensitive issue of sacrilege, Brahmpura issued a direct demand to the administration. He insisted that the police department must immediately amend its Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) under the strict provisions of the new legal framework, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). "In such matters, the government itself must become the complainant and rigorously pursue the cases against the culprits in courts, ensuring that no offender escapes by exploiting legal loopholes," he emphasized.
Concluding his address, Brahmpura declared that today's village-level meeting was merely a beginning. In the coming days, similar grassroots meetings will be held across the constituency to awaken the Panthic conscience and initiate a complete socio-political boycott of bad elements.
The meeting was attended by prominent SAD workers and leaders, including Sukhjinder Ladi, Piara Dugalwala, Gajjan Singh, Sarabjit Bania, Megh Singh, Ranjit Pappu, Narinder Singh, Dimple Singh, Jagatdeep Brahmpura, Kanwardeep Brahmpura, Kashmir Singh, Hardeep Chaudhary, Sarup Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Sabh Singh, Balwant Singh, Daljit Singh, Hardev Singh, Paramjit Mandala, Prem Singh, Satnam Singh, Kabal Singh, Bhag Singh, Joginder Singh, Charanjit Lali, Sukhwinder Dulchipura, Balwinder Singh, Nishan Singh, Amritpal Singh, and Dilbagh Singh among others.
