Chandigarh, March 12, 2026: A cleanliness drive was organised at the University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management, Panjab University, Chandigarh, under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to promote cleanliness, environmental awareness, and civic responsibility among students and staff members.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Jaswinder Singh, Director, UIHTM, Panjab University, who appreciated the efforts of the participants and emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness. The event was efficiently managed by Dr Neeraj Aggarwal, who encouraged active participation and highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Students and faculty members of the institute enthusiastically participated in the drive, contributing to cleaning the institute premises and the surrounding areas. Participants collected waste materials, segregated them into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and ensured their proper disposal.
The activity aimed to improve campus cleanliness and promote environmental responsibility among students, who appreciated the initiative and pledged to support such efforts in the future.
