SUPVA Short Film ‘Jogai Parivar’ to Screen at Jagran Film Festival
A short film produced by Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Jogai Parivar, will be screened at the 14th Jagran Film Festival in Delhi on Friday, August 21. The film has been selected in the short film category.
Rohtak, August 20, 2026: A short film produced by Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Jogai Parivar, will be screened at the 14th Jagran Film Festival in Delhi on Friday, August 21. The film has been selected in the short film category.
The screening will be held at the Samrasta Auditorium of Dr Ambedkar International Centre. FC Mahesh TP of SUPVA’s Film and Television Faculty said the film was made by university students and directed by Arpit Anand Singh, a 2023-batch Direction student.
SUPVA students Jitendra, Shivam, Mitali, Arun and Mankhush feature in the film. Students also played key roles behind the camera, with Deepti Khurana as mentor, Rajat Songra as associate director and Keshav Biyani, Gaurav Budhwar, Krishang Saini and Sanya as assistant directors.
Ajay Nehra handled cinematography, Gaurav Budhwar editing and Anshul Rohilla sound design. Sheetal Kumari was the art director, while Ramakant Mahajan handled set design.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Amit Arya said the Jagran Film Festival is among the prominent travelling film festivals and its 14th edition will run from August 20 to October 31 across 14 cities, with the awards ceremony scheduled for November 1.
He said Jogai Parivar presents the realities of society and family in a simple and engaging manner. Some of the student actors also learnt Bhojpuri in a short time for the film. The film has earlier received appreciation at several platforms, including an international film festival in Yaroslavl, Russia.
