SUPVA family pays tribute to alumnus with a moment of silence

On Monday, the SUPVA family—including Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya and Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha—observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the peace of the departed soul following the demise of Bhavishya Sharma, an alumnus of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC-SUPVA).

Rohtak, July 6, 2026: On Monday, the SUPVA family—including Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya and Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha—observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the peace of the departed soul following the demise of Bhavishya Sharma, an alumnus of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC-SUPVA).

Vinay Kumar, Faculty Coordinator of Visual Arts, stated that Bhavishya Sharma—a student from the 2021 batch of Animation and Multimedia—lost his life in a devastating fire incident in the Aliganj area of Lucknow on June 22. Fifteen people lost their lives in this tragedy. Originally from Mahipur village in Sonipat, Bhavishya had graduated from SUPVA in Animation and Multimedia. He had left his village for Lucknow just recently, on June 6. He was the only child of his parents; his father, Narendra Sharma, is a teacher at a private school, while his mother does sewing work. According to his family, Bhavishya had been working at the center in Lucknow for only eight days when he perished in the fire on June 22.

Expressing deep grief over the incident, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya stated that the loss suffered by the SUPVA alumnus, Bhavishya’s family, is irreparable. On behalf of the entire SUPVA family, he prayed that the Almighty grant the bereaved parents the strength to bear this immense grief. Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Ajay Kaushik, and various teaching and non-teaching staff members also paid condolences.
