Ravi Dubey as Satya from Jamai Raja says, "During my childhood, all my cousin sisters would come to my place for Raksha bandhan and we would have a typical family get together. I look at the occasion as a time for bonding with your family over food and gifts. Being the eldest in the family, I continue to be very protective about my sisters. Today with time constraints and all of us spread in different directions, the rakhis come in via post and I make sure I send gifts back to my sisters. It's the feeling that counts, distance is immaterial."

Parag Tyagi who is seen playing the title role of Brahmarakshas says, "On the day of Raksha Bandhan, dad and I would save up and put aside money to buy gifts for my sister. We'd plan this way in advance. Those days were really memorable. Today also, my sister and niece send me Rakhis every year and I send them gifts. Besides that, Sunidhi Chauhan and Parineeta Sahoo are my rakhi sisters, I go to both their places and we celebrate Raksha Bandhan together."

Eisha Singh seen as Rani in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani says, "As a kid, I used to always wait for Raksha Bandhan as I was always excited about the gifts I'd typically receive. Then on the occasion one year, my brother gave me money instead of a gift and asked me to buy whatever I wanted. I returned him the money telling him I don't want anything. I guess I never valued the materialistic aspects of it, just the attention and pampering. My family members still laugh over this incident and ever since, I've never received just money for Rakshabandhan. This year, I am going to Bhopal and will celebrate Raksha Bandhan there with my brother. "

Shiny Doshi who plays Mahi in Jamai Raja, "My brother is 4 years older to me, so I look up to him. He is very protective about me, like most elder brothers are. On Raksha Bandhan, I used to make Rakhis myself and make sure that my brother had the biggest rakhi on his hand. Since the past 4 years, I never managed to make time to visit my brother as a result of my shoot schedules, but he has always surprised me by coming down to my place and this year also, he's come here three days prior to Raksha Bandhan. I really love my brother."

Daljeet Kaur as Manjari from Kaala Teeka says, "Like every year, my brother Pradeep is coming down from Nasik, so I am really excited. It's always fun catching up on good old times as we have so many fond memories to choose from. I have planned to take the day off so that I can celebrate the day with my brother."

Meghna Naidu who plays Hanan in Amma: I do not have a brother but I have a few friends who have been like my brothers over the last 16 years. They are my 'Muh bola' bhais and they haven't let me feel lonely for a single day as they're always there for me - in good times and bad. They are deeply protective of me and I value that. Today, they are scattered all over the world but I still post them their rakhis and they send me gifts in return."

Mouli Ganguly from Jamai Raja: Always interested in art and craft, I used to make ornate Rakhis myself and tie them on the wrists of my brother and cousins when I was younger. We used to prepare yummy food at home on Raksha Bandhan. We still share a special bond with each other, even though we don't stay close anymore. My brother is in USA now, we are still connected and I am going to miss him on this Raksha Bandhan."

Jasmine Bhasin as Twinkle in Tashn-e-Ishq says, "Every girl has a special relationship with her brother and I am no exception. I have a younger brother who is working in Goa, so unfortunately I won't be able to meet him for Rakshabandhan this year. I have a lot of cousin brothers too but I don't have any specific plans this year. I will just courier the Rakhis and cards to all of them like every year. As kids, on this day, I would wait for them to come home so that I would get a lot of gifts. "

Sartaj Gill seen as Raja in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani says, "When we were younger, my sister and I would fight throughout the year but on the day of Raksha Bandhan, I would get up early, dress well and go out with mom to buy a gift for my sister. On this day, I would suddenly feel like a protective brother and behave very maturely. It is really funny now when I look back at those days. My sister is in the US now but I am going to miss her very much this Raksha Bandhan. I'm sure we'll connect on a call, if nothing else."
