Jalandhar: Young Mechanical Engineers of St Soldier Engineering and Technical Institute successfully made Model of GSLV ( Geo Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) in 3 months with the total cost of Rs 76000/. GSLV Model is launched by Chairman Anil Chopra and Mrs. Sangeeta Chopra .Students Surinder Singh, Navjot, Baljit Singh, Amarjeet, Supinder , Pramjit, Abey Thakur, Shubham Rawat, Ragunandhan, Sher Singh, Sunil, Kamal, Gagandeep, Lalli told that height of this model is 20 feet and width is 4 feet. Total weight of this rocket is 950 kg. This Satellite Vehicle model was made with granding medium, Arc welding set, sheet press machine, and sheet cutting machine. To structure this rocket Mild Steel Material was used. .A solid base of Satellite Vehicle model was made with cement and prevented with any type of natural disaster. Chairman Mr. Chopra watched the functioning of rocket and appreciates the effort of students and college staff.
