Chandigarh, November 26, 2023: The Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised a Special lecture on the topic, "Ethnographic Film Making in Anthropology" on 24th November.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Svetlana RyzhaKova from the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Russian Academy of Science, Moscow. She shared her field experiences based on ethnographies with the participants and also talked about the Russians who worked in India in the 19th and 20th Century.
Participants were shown an ethnographic film followed by discussions on various related pertinent issues.
The event was coordinated by the Chairperson of the Department Dr Maninder Kaur and Prof. Abhik Ghosh.
