Six percent DA approved for HPMC & Agro Industries Corporation employees

Shimla, November 17, 2015: The Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce and Processing Corporation Limited (HPMC) approved  to release six percent Dearness Allowance to its employees w.e.f  1.1.2015. As many as 200 employees will be benefitted with this decision.
Horticulture Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes presided over the meeting here today. She said that State Government was giving top priority to protect the interests of the farmers and it was the responsibility of the Corporation to clear the dues of the horticulturists in a time bound manner. She said the sale turnover of the Corporation had been expected at Rs. 80 crore  during this year.  
The BoD gave its approval to set up three new CA store at Rohru, Oddi and Patli-kuhal. The Horticulture Minister appreciated the efforts of HPMC for establishing  three more CA stores at Kharapathar in Shimla district, Churah in Chamba district and Patli-kuhal in Kullu district. BoD also sanctioned the upgradation of Parwanoo plant.
Later, she also presided over  the meeting of BoD of  Himachal Pradesh Agro Industries Corporation, where the BoD gave approval of six percent DA to the employees of the Corporation w.e.f. 1.1.2015.
She said 22 trading and manufacturing centres of the Corporation were functional in the State who had made sale of Rs. 44.79 crore in the first six months of the current year which was around Rs. 12 crore more than the previous year.
Vice Chairman, HPMC Shri Prakash Thakur, Additional Chief Secretary Horticulture Shri Tarun Shridhar, Finance Secretary Shri Akshay Sood, MD, HPMC Shri J.C. Sharma, Director Horticulture Shri D.P. Bhardwaj and other senior officers of HPMC and Agro Industries attended the meeting.
