Shah Rukh grooves to Pinga on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

The much awaited Grand Premiere episode of Zee TV's longest running singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' is ready to hit the tube this Saturday with the Top 12 delivering mind-blowing solo acts. Joining them in the celebration is our beloved Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who visited the sets to promote his upcoming flick. The actor was seen in great spirits mingling with the mentors and contestants. Thrilling the audience to bits, SRK danced to the tunes of the blockbuster song of the year 'Pinga' along with the show's mentors Mika Singh, Sajid-Wajid and Pritam Chakraborty. It all happened right after one of the top 12 contestants, Senjyoti Das aced the song with her solo performance. The stage was set on fire when the original singer of the song and former contestant of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Vaishali Mhade, performed alongside Senjyoti. Vaishali has also been mentoring the contestants as a jury member. On popular demand, the King Khan too joined the singers and danced to the tunes and left everyone spellbound by his scintillating performance.

The superstar had everyone in splits when he shared memories of his own self-admittedly tragic tryst with singing when he recorded 'Apun Bola'. The actor revealed that the song was cut into a hundred pieces that were later strung together and yet the superstar found it extremely challenging to hold the tune, simply because singing is just not his forte. Naturally, Shah Rukh was in awe of the Top 12 who could not just sing like a dream but brought in their own personalities into their spirited performances.Shah Rukh Khan says, "I am very pleased to experience the best talent of our nation on this prestigious platform of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. I cannot hum a single line while they all are mind blowing. I still remember the day when I had recorded 'Apun bola tu meri laila' song and believe me, it is something which I cannot even attempt to do again. So hats off to all the singers who have given hit songs for me!"

The musical battle amongst the Top 12 for the coveted trophy of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2016 will begin from 16th April. The top 12 singing stars selected from across the country include: Harjot Kaur, Rupali Jagga, Senjyoti Das, Jyotica Tangree, Jagpreet Bajwa, Tanveer Hussain, Ashmita Kar, Hashmat-Sultana, Zuber Hasmi, Sachin Kumar Valmikan, Kushal Paul and Abhigyan Das.
