Chandigarh, February 15, 2024: University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University (UIAMS) organized a One-day Seminar on “Measurement in Human Resource Functions: Changing Trends” sponsored by RUSA on Thursday.

The National Seminar was a dynamic platform for professionals, students, and researchers, to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore the latest issues and trends as experienced in Human Resource Functions. The expert panel included Dr Hargovind Kakkar, Founder, Meeraki World, Mr Neeraj Arora, Chief Operating Officer,Meeraki World and Dr Arun Aggarwal, Assistant Professor at Chitkara Business School, Chitkara University, Punjab. The diverse panel brought together a wealth of experience and expertise to shed light on the evolving landscape of HR functions and the role of measurement in navigating these changes.

Dr Hargovind Kakkar gave his presentation on the topic 'The Magic of Measurement: An HRM perspective'. He emphasized the importance of adapting measurement techniques to align with changing organizational dynamics, importance of data and the impact of AI in HRM. Neeraj Arora discussed the "Roles of Technology in HR Measurements". Arora described data as the king and technology as the kingdom, emphasizing the pivotal role of data analytics in optimizing HR strategies for superior organizational performance. Dr. Arun Aggarwal discussed the challenges of talent acquisition and retention in an increasingly digital age, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches to measurement. He provided valuable insight into the evolving landscape of talent management and the necessity for HR professionals to adapt to new paradigms.

A warm welcome was extended to the expert speakers and participants by Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS, Panjab University. She highlighted the importance of such events in fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration between industry experts and academia. The Seminar was Coordinated by Dr Aman Khera and Co-Coordinated by Dr Ajay Dogra and DrHarsh Tuli, Faculty, UIAMS, Panjab University. The Seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session followed by a fruitful discussion.
