Sell cement on lower rates in Himachal: Hoshiar Singh

Dharamshala, October 27, 2018: “Three top companies are manufacturing cement in Himachal and the irony is ,this cement is being sold at higher rates in Himachal than to the neighbouring states,” said Hoshiyar Singh , Independent MLA of Dehra in Himachal. This is a loot to the public of Himachal ,he added. Talking to media at Dharamshala on Saturday Singh said, “ A bag of he cement made in HP are being sold at the rate of rs 360 to 370 in the state , whereas it is being sold at rs 220 to 230 in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. The cost of cement in these states should be higher to HP as the transportation charges are more. But the residents of the producing state are being looted of the higher rates.” He said that the building material like sand and boulders etc too being sold at higher rates in Himachal than the bordering states, and these materials are being sold at lower rates when taken to other states from Himachal. He said that the matter was highlighted by BJP during Congress rule but surprisingly now the party is mum over the matter when came in power. Hoshiyar singh said , “ I have raised the matter during budget session of the HP Assembly and the industry minister promised to act over ,but nothing being done so far.” He once again requested the government to act upon.
