Schedule for Preparation and Revision of Ward-wise Draft Electoral Rolls for Panch By-Elections: DC Sachin Gupta

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (Panchayat) Sachin Gupta informed that the Haryana State Election Commission has notified the programme for preparation and revision of ward-wise electoral rolls in connection with forthcoming by-elections to vacant Panch posts in the district.

Rohtak, February 28, 2026: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (Panchayat) Sachin Gupta informed that the Haryana State Election Commission has notified the programme for preparation and revision of ward-wise electoral rolls in connection with forthcoming by-elections to vacant Panch posts in the district.

The programme has been issued under the provisions of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 and the Haryana Panchayati Raj Election Rules, 1994, to ensure a transparent, accurate, and participative electoral process at the grassroots level.

The Deputy Commissioner said that by-elections to vacant Panch posts will be conducted in the following Gram Panchayats and wards - Lakhan Majra Block: Sundarpur (Ward-1), Rohtak Block: Bhagwatipur (Ward-7), Jindran (Ward-8), Chamaria (Ward-9), Rithal Phogat (Ward-1), Khidwali (Ward-17), Maina (Ward-8), Sampla Block: Atayal (Ward-14), Ismaila-9B (Ward-13), Kalanaur Block: Masudpur (Ward-5) and Meham Block: Behlba (Ward-2).

He informed that the ward-wise draft electoral rolls will be prepared on the basis of the latest Assembly Constituency electoral rolls. Citizens wishing to be included in the Gram Panchayat voter list must ensure that their names are already registered in the relevant Assembly electoral roll.

As per the notified schedule; distribution of electors for ward-wise draft rolls: up to 28 February 2026, publication of ward-wise draft electoral rolls: 2 March 2026, last date for filing claims and objections: 9 March 2026, disposal of claims and objections: by 12 March 2026, appeals before the Deputy Commissioner: up to 16 March 2026, disposal of appeals: by 19 March 2026 and final publication of electoral rolls: 27 March 2026.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that copies of the draft electoral rolls will be available free of cost for inspection at the offices of the concerned Gram Secretaries, Tehsildars (Revenue), BDPOs, and the office of the District Election Officer (Panchayat). The electoral rolls will also be made available on the district administration’s official website.

He appealed to all eligible voters in the concerned wards to verify their entries in time and actively participate in the claims and objections process to ensure error-free electoral rolls.
