Ludhiana, March 25, 2015: An extension lecture was organised by Research Centre and PG Department of Hindi at Seminar Hall in SCD Government College on Wednesday. Krishma and Priynka, students of MA Hindi 2nd Semester presented flowers to Dr Harimohan. Chandni, student of MA Hindi 3rdsemester introduced the Guest Speaker.
Dr Mukesh Arora, Prof. Hardeep Singh, and Dr Rajinder Kumar Jain welcome Dr. Hari Mohan along with college Principal Dr. Dharam Singh. Speaking on the topic, ‘International Perspective of Research in Hindi’, and he also gave tips on ‘How to write Research Paper’.
Dr Hari Mohan said, ‘Hindi is being taught in 90 countries of the world, only in America 80 institutes are running courses in Hindi. Scholars of other countries have prepared bi-lingual dictionaries in Hindi and their respective languages likewise- Hindi Japanese, Hindi Russian, Hindi Chinese, Hindi –Korean, etc. foreigners are enthusiastic about learning Hindi to enjoy Hindi movies and their songs.’
He expressed his worries about the standard of research papers in Hindi as in his view these are not at par with sciences, social sciences and other disciplines.
Dr Hari Mohan is highly decorated with International and national awards. He was awarded ‘Maha Pandit Rahul Sankrityayan Samman’ of Rs.1 lakh by President of India in 2009.
He authored 38 books on use of computer, journalism, and Mass Communication and Hindi literature. He has guided 65 students for research who have been awarded Ph D.
