Sanskriti KMV School celebrated the vibrant festival of Baisakhi with great enthusiasm, devotion, and cultural splendour. The celebration commenced with a special morning assembly wherein students highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Baisakhi through informative speeches and lively poem recitations such as “Aayi Baisakhi.”
Jalandhar, April13, 2026: Sanskriti KMV School celebrated the vibrant festival of Baisakhi with great enthusiasm, devotion, and cultural splendour. The celebration commenced with a special morning assembly wherein students highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Baisakhi through informative speeches and lively poem recitations such as “Aayi Baisakhi.”
The Pre-Primary wing added colour and charm to the occasion as tiny tots dressed in traditional Punjabi attire and adorned with phulkaris presented energetic Bhangra performances, spreading joy and festivity all around. The Principal, Mrs. Rachna Monga, graced the occasion and applauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and creative expression.
A key highlight was the unique presentation of a “Punjabi Village,”. Students showcased traditional scenes- a well, panchayat, bullock cart,old-style kitchen, and representations of Punjab’s five rivers. Village fair attractions were such as phulkari work, mehndi artists, a traditional bioscope, toy shops, halwai stalls, balloon sellers, and a model of a village bus stand.
Various competitions were organized for students from Grades I to X-collage making, poetry recitation, calligraphy, poster making, and art activities centered around the theme of Baisakhi. A documentary film on the life and contribution of Dr. Ambedkar was also shown to students.
Principal, Rachna Monga appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and emphasized the importance of learning from the inspiring life of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. She also extended her warm wishes on the occasion of Baisakhi, stating that the festival is not only a celebration of the harvest but also a symbol of Punjab’s glorious heritage and cultural pride.
