10,000 Diyas to Light Up UHSR Campus, Deep Yatra Planned

Rohtak, September 16, 2026: Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, will glow with 10,000 earthen lamps on Thursday evening as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The event, organised under the Aashirwad Ka Diya module, will mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and commemorate his 25 years of public service.
UHSR Registrar Dr Roop Singh said lamps would be lit from the Director’s Office to the university gate under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Dr H.K. Aggarwal. A Deep Yatra will then be taken out from Sushruta Auditorium to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, with doctors, nursing staff, students and employees participating with lamps in their hands.
The procession will culminate at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium, where the Prime Minister’s birthday will be celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony and wishes for his health and long life.
VC Dr Aggarwal said the 10,000 lamps symbolised service, dedication and the spirit of “Nation First”, while Director Dr S.K. Singhal said the illumination would convey a message of health, positivity and renewed energy.
