Rohtak, September 16, 2026: Women must prioritise their health and undergo timely check-ups to detect illnesses at an early stage, DLC SUPVA Registrar Dr Gunjan Malik Manocha said at a health awareness workshop organised at the varsity.
The workshop, themed ‘Healthy Woman, Healthy Society’, was organised by the Women Cell at the Planning and Architecture Faculty seminar hall. Female students and staff were sensitised to physical and mental health issues.
Experts Dr Sanjeev Madan and gynaecologist Dr Sheeni Sharma shared health-related advice and answered questions from participants.
Dr Gunjan Malik Manocha said awareness and regular health screening could help identify several health problems early. She urged students and women employees to incorporate the experts’ advice into their daily routine.
Dr Madan stressed the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, particularly to prevent anaemia caused by iron deficiency. He said women’s health has a direct bearing on the well-being of families and society.
Dr Sheeni Sharma advised women not to ignore unusual changes in their health and stressed regular check-ups and medical consultation during pregnancy. She also urged participants to take symptoms such as persistent fatigue, stress and anxiety seriously.
The experts called for regular health screening based on age and individual needs.
