RUSA Skill Lab Facility in Botany Department, PU inaugurated
Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh inaugurated the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Lab today at Department of Botany, P.U., Chandigarh, which is a part of the Skill Labs being developed in various Departments of PU under the RUSA Scheme.

Chandigarh, July 4, 2023: Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh inaugurated the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Lab today at Department of Botany, P.U., Chandigarh, which is a part of the Skill Labs being developed in various Departments of PU under the RUSA Scheme.
Prof. Richa Puri, Chairperson, Department of Botany apprised about the RUSA facility which was developed for the exposure of state of the art high end infrastructure in Plant Molecular Biology and Tissue Culture. This will provide skill development & exposure to the UG/PG students and research scholars of the Department.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Department and stressed on the need of such exposure to students to enable them to develop innovative skills for profitable start-ups.
Prof. Rumina Sethi, Dean University Instruction, Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director, Research & Development Cell, Prof. Rajeev Puri, University RUSA Coordinator and other senior officials & faculty members of the University were also present during the occasion.
