One day workshop on Accreditation Awareness for Technical Institutions being held at IKG PTU.

Jalandhar February 29, 2016: As certificate is required for every eligibility, performance also requires recognition. Accreditation is must in the field of education in order to maintain the trust of parents and students. This was said by EQUATE India agency President Dr.R.N.Mathur and Managing Director Dr.Rajni Bhatnagar at a one day workshop on ‘Accreditation Awareness for Technical Institutions’ organised by Punjab Institute of Technical Teacher Training and Research (PITTTR) at Punjab Institute of Technology in IK Gujral Punjab Technical University main campus. Faculty from 21 affiliated colleges participated in this workshop.

The topic of the workshop was the need of accreditation of the technical institutions. The resource persons compared the technical education of developed countries and India. They said that accreditation is necessary to raise the standard of technical education in India. Dr. Mathur said that engineering in India and abroad is same but still we are lagging behind in techniques which are just because of providing low quality in education by the institutions.

On this occasion, Head of Life Science Department Dr. Rajneesh Kant Sachdev, Registrar PITTTR Dr. Balwinder Garg, Assistant Registrar Gaganjot Malhi and others were also present.

Experts informed about the government national policy on necessity of Accreditation of technical education institutions in the time to come. They also explained the process and procedure of Accreditation.
